Mom, Hiram and Micah came to visit 8/25-9/2. They also brought Lola :) It was a great visit, we went to Lassen National Volcanic park and hiked the Bumpass Hell trail that was really neat, it leads to these boiling sulfer pits and there is steam just coming out of the ground, sounds kind of like jets taking off at the airport and it stinks really bad like sulfer but it was very cool. We also hiked around Manzanita lake and that was very beautiful too, lassen park is such a beautiful place and not very far away...... We also went to Wiskeytown Lake and relaxed at home and watched movies.

On July 12th, I flew to San Diego to meet Aaron for his Grandpa Agner's 90th birthday party. It was nice to meet Aaron's extended family in Southern California. Aaron had driven down the previous friday with his family and i made it just in time for the birthday party. I was extremely tired b/c i only had about 3 hours of sleep. I didn't get home from the wedding the night before until about 12am, got to bed around 1 am, tried to sleep unsuccessfully until 4am and then drove to Sacramento to catch my flight to San diego. I was exhausted but I had a great time. The b-day party was on Sunday, we went to the beach in Carlsbad on Monday and Aaron's parents taught me how to boogie board, then on Tuesday we went to the Wild Animal Park and then flew home wednesday.......It was a great trip, I hope we get to go every year.

So we left for our trip Sunday morning May 3rd. We drove from Redding to Sac and then flew to San Diego. Our flight was uneventful but I still don't like to fly, I'm not sure why, i just hate it! Our stewardess was really cool though and gave us free drinks and lots of peanuts and pretzels. We got to SD and then headed over to the ship. It was kind of a long process to get on the boat but we got there about 1 pm. It was a little chaotic the first day because there are about 2,000 passengers on board and no one really knows what they are supposed to be doing or where anything is. We had lunch and then headed to our rooms to check them out. Our luggage wasn't there yet so we went exploring the ship. We took a tour of the gym and spa and signed up for our shore excursions for the next day. We had to do the emergency drill and then we set sail at 5:30. We had dinner and then headed to the big lounge where they had a game show going on and then we played bingo. Then we were tired and headed to bed.

Monday morning we had to get up early and get ready. Laurie and I had breakfast at the buffet and then we met everyone else so we could take the shoreboat over to Catalina. Summer, Laurie, Autumn and I went on a wildlife rafting tour, which was cool. We saw some blue herring, seagull nests, a bald eagle, and then went out and found dolphins. They were huge! and they kept swimming around the boat. Then we went back in and took a boat back to our ship to have lunch. Then Autumn and I went and met her brother and one of his friends and the four of us went snorkling. It was really cool, there was tons of fish! after that we headed back to the boat and we set sail again at 4:30. We laid out in the sun for a bit and then it got cold. We got ready for the captains dinner that night and it was really good. It's nice b/c all the food is included so you can have as many appetizers, entree's and desserts as you want! Then we went and looked as some of our pics that they take on the ship, then headed to a show in the Mikado lounge. I started to not feel so well so I went back to the room about 10:30. I ended up getting sick that night and was really sick and feeling like crap through the next day. I finally went to the infirmery around 12pm b/c i had been vomiting for over 12 hours and couldn't keep any fluids down. I was quite dehydrated and had to get some IV fluids and some nausea meds to help me stop dry heaving. The medicine made me really tired so when the IV was done I went back to the room about 2pm and slept till 5, woke up still didn't feel good so went back to sleep. Woke up about 6pm and was finally feeling better. I was told not to go to the dining room until I was cleard by the doctor so I had to order room service that night. So pretty much whole 3rd day was spent in the cabin.... we were supposed to dock at Ensenada the 3rd day but with the whole swine flu thing going on they didn't let anyone get off the ship. Everyone else just hung out, played volleyball and laid in the sun.

The 4th day was another day at sea. It was in the 70's but overcast. Laurie and I played some mini golf. Then wandered around the ship. We met up with everyone else for lunch and then we all played another round of mini golf. The dinner was really good that night too, I finally had my appetite back. We went to a comedy show but he wasn't that great. Then headed back to the cabin about 1am. We had to get up early to be out of the cabin by 8:30am. We got off the ship after breakfast and headed to the airport. Our flight wasn't till 12 so we all played catch phrase while waiting for our flight. The flight home was nice, very little turbulence. We landed and drove home thursday. It was really fun but I was glad to get home. I missed Aaron a lot and it was really hard to keep in contact with him because the internet on board is via satellite and really slow and there were international roaming/texting rates that were really expensive so I didn't talk to him much. For about 3 days after we got home I still felt like the ground was moving, it was so weird! I would like to go on another cruise sometime, hopefully with Aaron next time, now that I know what to expect.

Aaron is turning 30 on May 24th so I decided to have a surprise party for him. He is very conscious about what is going on around him so I thought it would be really tough to get this party all together and invite all his friends without him knowing but I pulled it off and he didn't find out about it until we were pulling up to my friends house and one of his friends was running late and we pulled up right behind him. Then when we got there his roomate was right in the front of the house unloading an ice chest..... well at least I kept it a surprise until we got there..... so everyone was gathered in the living room waiting to yell "surprise" and aaron came in the back door b/c he helped his friend carry the ice chest to the backyard....

It was a really fun party. We had hot dogs/hamburgers, horse shoe pit, pool, lots of food and drinks, a slip n slide. It was a luau theme and overall it turned out really good. I got all of Aarons school friends and all his fishing buddies together and we all just had a good time. Autumn was nice enough to let us have this big party at their home, which is perfect for parties and it turned out great, so thank you Autumn!

One of the pics I posted is of this huge wolf spider that was on Aaron's wall. It was so big! I told him he had to kill it so when he went to kill it, it started running and Aaron was chasing it and tried to smash it again, and it ended up getting flung into the bed and ran down the backside between the mattress and headboard. Needless to say we tore Aaron's be apart and took off the Mattress and box springs and found it on the back of one of the box springs. Gross! I'm glad we found it. Then we cleaned all the dust from under his bed b/c I don't think it's been cleaned in like 7 years so there was tons of dust. I'm glad it was the weekend b/c that little adventure turned out to be about 2 1/2 hrs.....

Aaron and I have been riding our bikes as much as possible. The weathers been great and we've been going after he gets off work. I hope to ride again this weekend, or maybe fish. Tomorrow is Aaron's actual birthday so I guess he gets to pick what we do :)

Well i've been keeping myself pretty busy these days and my schedule is only getting busier.... April 2-7 Aaron and I went to Vegas for a vacation and to visit some of my family. It was a great trip other than the flying part (I just hate flying!) I was able to visit with my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins, so that was really nice. We got there Thursday and went to dinner with my Cousins for my cousin Jen's b-day, it was super good! Then Friday Aaron and I went to a Cirque de Soleil show "Ka" at the MGM Grand, it was okay, but I think Mystere is better. Then we went down to Freemont Street to the free concerts by Jake Owen and Jason Aldean. Saturday we went to the tournament of Kings at the Excaliber and then headed back down to Freemont Street for free concerts by Kellie Pickler and Leann Rimes. Sunday we went bowling and to dinner with my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin Jen, I love buffets :) Monday was Bass Pro Shops day, we spent over 3 hours in that store and then gambled a little at the Casino there and ate dinner since it was much cheaper than on the strip. Tuesday we had a nice breakfast and then got ready to head home. We slept in late and did a little gambling here and there, i mostly stick to the penny machines, lol. And just an FYI, never use the public transportation bus in Vegas! Its called the deuce and its horrible, we rode it twice and it took us an hour to get from the strip to Freemont Street! Will never ride it again, not to mention the annoying drunk people that ride it. The $20 taxi ride is so worth it!

April 17-18 was the Kool April Nights car show in Redding. I had a bunch of friends come into town and visit so that was fun. I had to work friday night so I slept most of Saturday but we all went out to dinner Saturday and then to the bar.... it was a fun night but the bars just aren't as fun as they used to be. I was missing Aaron the whole time we were there...( he had gotten up really early to go fishing and was too tired to go out) But I did have a blast with all my girl friends that were in town, it was great to see them all.

Aaron and I were able to go on a few bike rides this last weekend through the Anderson River park area. There are some really fun trails and its a great work out. Aaron and I are still getting used to riding but we're getting better. Aaron has been going a lot after work with some of his co-workers, finding new trails for us to ride on.

Other than that I've been working, cooking yummy dinners and spending time with Aaron cuddled up on the couch watching tv. I'm going on a cruise this sunday for 4 days for a bachelorette party. We are flying down to San diego on Sunday (yikes!) and then the ship docks at Catalina for a day and Ensenada for a day, however as of right now, Carnival is not docking in Mexican ports so we may not go to Ensenada. Even if we do dock there, I don't plan on getting off the ship, but i'm sure if one person picks up the swine flu, everyone on board will get it because ships are such close quarters. I'm not very concerned about it though, no one in the US has even died from the swine flu yet and the regular human flu kills 40,000 people in the US every year. I'm just watching the news and seeing what happens by this weekend.....

Not much going on..... Aaron had a big FLW Stren Series tournament last week at Clear Lake. He did okay, about middle of the pack..... He has another tournament this Sunday at Clear lake, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed because he really wants to do great at this one... AND also on Sunday is our 1 year anniversary since our First Date. This past year has flown by so fast and it has been absolutely wonderful. I'm still as excited to see him everyday as I was when we first started dating :) We don't have anything big planned because he won't be home till late that night but we are going to Vegas in about 3 weeks so we can celebrate then.... other than that, it's just been the normal grind. I've been off for 4 days so tomorrow is my monday :( but it pays the bills so I can't complain.... Aaron will be going out of town on Saturday morning anyway. Oh and did I mention how much I absolutely love the time change?! I don't know why but it just puts me in a much better mood when it's lighter later, I love it! And hopefully Aaron and I will be able to go on some more bike rides soon, the weather has been gorgeous (however we still need a lot of rain to fill up the lake).... that's about it :)

Well I don't have any new pictures since last post but I decided to post anyways to keep up with it. I worked a few days this week, then was on call thursday night and Friday I headed to Sacramento with Autumn to look for dresses for her wedding. We got there friday evening, went to dinner at Elephant Bar (it was really good) and then went back to her brothers house and we played Tripoly (a card and chip game) and spoons (another card game) until 3 in the morning..... We went to brunch at a restaurant called Roxy that her brother works at and that was super good too, and then went dress shopping at 3 different places, I think I tried on about 40 or 50 dresses, there are several that we both liked..... I got to use Autumns portable navagation device in my car while we were driving around Sac and now I want one! That thing helped a lot, maybe I wouldn't get lost so much if I get one, lol! I came home Saturday night and watched a movie. Today I slept in and just ran some errands etc, nothing too exciting to report. Just working on my Journal and watching TV......Hope everyone has a great week!

Woopsie, its been a little while since i've posted. The last month has been great. It finally started raining and hasn't let up much since but that's okay because we really need it to fill up the lake.

A couple of my friends came back from Humboldt and visisted again, which was really nice. Kelsey and I got to catch up a lot and play lots of card games (we were friends back in grade school but haven't seen much of each other since) and Breanne did my hair while they were here (she is my hairstylist back in Humboldt). So it was a good weekend.

Aaron finally bought a mountain bike, I bought one (a cheap one...) about 5 months ago and had been waiting for Aaron to get one but of course since he's so tall, it took awhile to find one that would fit him. So we went for our first ride a couple weeks ago, it was just supposed to be a mellow ride and it turned into 8 miles! But that's okay, it was really fun and we only had to get off the bikes and walk up hill a few times. I did however realize that there is a BIG difference between a cheap Wal mart mountain bike and a "real" mountain bike. Needless to say, I now have a "real" mountain bike and it works great! We love to ride now, especially off rode. We are really lucky because there are a ton of trails in this area and it has been really fun exploring them.

Valentines day was great. I really wasn't expecting anything, I told him I didn't want anything except for a card. Then the door bell rang, and it was flowers :) 2 dozen to be exact. I'm sure you'll like our improv vase.... lol, its a bachelor pad! We went bike shopping for me and later had dinner at applebees and got to have our fav desert, a blondie and it was delicious! So we had a great first Valentines day together.

Aaron and I are planning a trip to Vegas in April to get away together and visit family and I can't wait! I'm also planning a cruise to Mexico for a bachelorette party for Autumn in May so I have a lot going on this spring. Also going to Sacramento this weekend to dress shop with Autumn for bridesmaids dresses, so i'm definitely keeping myself very busy :)

Aaron and I went fishing on Saturday, it was a beautiful day but of course i was still cold, lol. I like it when it's about 80 outside. That day is was about 70 I think, but it felt a lot colder..... The fish aren't really biting right now, I think they are confused..... it's January and it's been sunny and warm for a week and a half now..... I didn't catch anything, only got a few bites, but I only fished for maybe an hour total. I just relaxed and enjoyed the outdoors. Aaron caught a few of course.....

Yesterday we went out to his parents house and went hiking out to the small creek behind his parents house. Aaron taught me how to gold pan, we only found two VERY small pieces but it was fun. Next time we will take some kind of box that makes it go a lot faster...... It was kind of a coincedence that in the paper yesterday the "today in history" section read.... On this day in 1909..... Since Jan 1, 150 new gold mines had been located and filed for record. The mines were located at Shasta, Old Diggings, Backbone, Whiskeytown, Flat Creek, Ono, Centerville, Spring Creek, Lower Springs, Upper Sacramento, Quartz Hill, Churntown, Muletown, Dog Creek, Igo, South Fork, Harrison Gulch, French Gulch, Pittsburg, Stella, Buckeye, Slate Creek and Echo Lake.

I read that after we had already gone gold panning, and we were panning at a place that was on the list "muletown". I thought that was very interesting.

Well it's back to work tonight for the next three days, maybe four if I decide to pick up an extra shift..... Hope everyone is having a good January :)

Nearly 80 degrees in January???

Its been a little while since I've updated..... have been waiting until I got the christmas pics from Aaron's camera but I gave up so i'll just post those later. We had a good christmas, I was able to have christmas eve and christmas night off work so that was nice. I made a nice christmas eve dinner for Aaron, his roomate and I, then Aaron and I went to the movies. The next morning we opened our presents to each other and then headed over to his parents house for Christmas with all his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, neice, nephew and Grandparents. It was really nice, I had a good time.

For new years we went to one of Aarons friends house, we had a little potluck with all of his close friends, it was nice and we had waaaayyy too much food. I'm definitely looking forward to this year, I hope its a good one. Can't believe its already 2009, almost 10 years since I graduated high school, yikes.

Aaron's been fishing in a lot of tournaments lately. We finally have a weekend to hang out coming up, I can't wait, however he is trying to get me to go fishing with him on one of the days, lol. But its been warm enough lately (78 degrees!!) so I think i'll be able to handle it..... We are also going to go gold panning up by his parents house, i've never done that before so i'm excited to see what it's like and just be able to learn something new with Aaron.

This last weekend was really fun. I had three of my good friends come into town and visit me, we just had a girls weekend. We went to dinner, drank wine, watched chic flics, went shopping, played guitar hero and just relaxed so that was really nice. Can't wait for them to come back and visit!

Well that about sums up the last 3 weeks, not a whole lot of new stuff to report... oh, Aaron and I celebrated 10 months together yesterday! Its been an awesome 10 months, I am so happy and excited to see what the future holds for us.

Well it's been a busy holiday season. I'm still thinking about Rachel and Garrett everyday and wondering why a tragedy has to happen around the holidays, or why is has to happen at all..... I'm really missing my friends in Eureka right now, wishing I could see them and be there to support them..... but unfortunately I don't have 4 wheel drive and I don't feel safe driving over the mountain by myself. I'm wishing Rachel some peace and comfort this holiday season.

In other news, i've been busy getting ready for christmas, i'm finally finished shopping, wrapping and got all my packages shipped. I also did all of Aaron's shopping for him as he's a man and hates shopping, lol. We had both our christmas parties last weekend, his was friday night, mine was Saturday and then Aaron had a tournament Sunday. He got up at 3:30 am to go fishing in the snow, I don't get it, lol. He placed fifth at this tournament. I was amazed it started snowing in Redding on Sunday. I was wrapping presents and didn't even realize it till i looked outside after several hours. All the cars in my neighborhood and the ground was covered in a couple inches but it melted overnight.

I've been wanting to buy a Wii for almost a year now, so I finally broke down and bought one. They are so much fun, I feel like a big kid. I just like how they are so interactive. I also broke down last night and gave Aaron one of his christmas presents early. It was a bass fishing game for the Wii. It's actually really fun, I was playing it today. I like it better than real fishing cause I can actually catch fish! Lol. Aaron was getting mad though cause the line kept breaking and he didn't understand why he couldn't upgrade to a stronger fishing line, lol. Maybe they should make that an option in the game..... I love the bowling and golf games, they're pretty fun.

Work is getting busier, it's respiratory season so all the little ones are coming in. RSV season also started so we'll be busy for the next several months. RSV is a respiratory virus that is very serious in infants and makes them extremely sick. There isn't any medicine to treat it, just supportive care like IV fluids, oxygen and lots of nose suctioning (which they hate!) So i'll be honing my suctioning skills again.... This week is a little slower because of the holidays so i'm actually on call right now, i'll be up for several more hours though because I slept in today expecting to work and I'm working tomorrow night, maybe i'll play the wii a bit......

I hope everyone has a happy holidays, Aaron and I are headed over to his parents house on Christmas, so i'm excited for that, he has such a wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with Rachel and Garretts Family and friends during this holiday season.....

I haven't been in the mood for posting much lately, a good friend of mine was killed last week. It is an extremely sad situation. He was shot during a home invasion robbery and later passed away at the hospital. His girlfriend (one of my close friends) was there throughout the entire event and words cannot even express how torn apart her world is now. My heart breaks for her everytime I think about her and everything she has been through. I just don't understand how one human being could do something so horrible to another......

A gift for such a little while,
your loss just seems so wrong,
you should not have left before us,
it’s with loved ones you belong.

The memorial service is today and I wish so much that I could be there. However a storm decided to show its face this weekend and its just not safe for me to drive my car over the mountain, not to mention making it back over here. It's breaking my heart that I can't be there for Rachel and all of my other friends affected by this horrible tragedy. Garrett was one of the most amazing men you could ever meet, he was always smiling and joking around, he could always make me laugh. He will be so greatly missed by so many. Rest in peace G-man, you are always in my thoughts.....

I've had a great week. I worked Thanksgiving eve but then had 6 days off, so it's been nice. I was supposed to work on Friday but we were slow at work so I got to be on call all night. I go back tomorrow, it's been a nice break. Aaron and I went to his parents house for Thanksgiving and all his family was there, Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncle's and Cousins.

I hate crowds so I never go to the black Friday sales but this year there were some deals on some things that I've been waiting to buy so I had to :) I got up at 6 and went to Walmart, the parking lot was actually no busier than normal, I was kind of surprised, it was a little busier inside but not too bad. They had tons of employees working so there was always someone to answer a question or point me in the right direction. I only bought the door busters I needed and got out of there as soon as possible, and I left with a new laptop that I absolutely love :) I've been wanting one for quite sometime so I thought it was finally time to treat myself. So now I have to learn how everything works on it.

Other than that not much else going on, just house cleaning and Christmas shopping, I think i'm about half way done. Going to cut down a christmas tree this weekend and I also bought a ginger bread house kit today, haven't made on before but i've wanted to for the last couple of years so I decided to finally do it, can't wait to eat it either! :)

Soooo, I FINALLY finished my bathroom, it's been a long process. I finished putting up the border the other day, and I love how it turned out. I think it looks great. I also painted Aaron's bathroom with one of the gallons of paint that I had that was too blue for my bathroom. I think his bathroom turned out good too, i'll have to post a picture sometime, it's definitely not as bland as it used to be and it gives me something to do while he's fishing, lol....So on to painting my bedroom next, but I don't know what to do with it, anyone have any ideas?

Aaron had another tournament this last Saturday. He was first out of the money with 10.4 pounds, the last paying position was 8th place with 10.5 pounds, bummer! I think his next tournament is in two weeks. Not much else going on, just trying to get ready for the holidays.... I work wednesday night, then I'm going to go to sleep for about 4 hrs and then Aaron and I are heading out to his parents house for Thanksgiving, I can't wait to eat a yummy dinner!

It's been an okay couple weeks, staying busy, that's for sure! I finished painting my bathroom in my room but decided the color was too green, I wanted something a little more blue, so I got a different color, painted a little and didn't like that color either, was a little too blue, lol. So I finally found a color that matched the border I have, so I just have to finish painting that color hopefully this week, I'll post some pics of my bathroom.....

Work has been getting busier lately, lots of bugs going around. I think I caught something from one of the kids, was just feeling a little lousy all week and got sicker thursday in the middle of the night, feeling better now though, just wish this headache would stay away.....

Aaron's been doing a lot of fishing every weekend. He had a tournament all last weekend at Shasta, we went to Raffle afterwards and won 6 times, so that was cool. Aaron seems to think i'm good luck so he brought me, cause last year he didn't win at all.... I guess it worked :) He won a bunch of fishing lures, hats, a reel, oil for the boat, fishing line, etc. Of course he shared some with me :) He took me out fishing today and the bite was horrible. I had about 8 bites but none of them were biting very aggresively, didn't get any in the boat :( Aaron did much better..... At the end of the day we were waiting for his friend to back the boat down the ramp to load it and we had to wait for about 10 min so I decided to put the line back in cause I was determined to catch at least one fish today, and guess what? I caught one, finally! It was a small one, but at least I could say I caught one, lol. He has a tournament tomorrow so hopefully he'll do better than today!

I have to say I love having seasons here! There were never seasons on the coast just a mild temp change from about 55 in winter to 65 in summer, with a lot of variations in between (and always cloudy!). Here it has been beautiful lately, all the trees are changing, the air is crisp but the sun is still shining almost everyday, I love it! Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen now have snow and are gorgeous as well. I absolutely love all these trees that are changing colors too, I know that seems silly but growing up without all the color changes, I really notice it now. I had to take a couple pictures the other day b/c I thought they were so pretty.

Well, I'm a little late on posting but I've had a good week :)

I ended up staying up till about 3:30 in the morning last Saturday and painted part of my bathroom and watched a movie. It was relaxing. Then I slept in, ran a few errands and went to work Saturday night. Aaron and his fishing partner ended up getting the last paying position in their tournament so that was good for him. They fished all day Saturday and Sunday on Shasta Lake.

Monday was fun. I carved my pumpkin, it was the first time I ever used one of those stencils that you get with the little pumpkin carving kits, it actually worked pretty well. I got an extra pumpkin for Aaron but he didn't want to carve it (apparently he thinks adults don't carve pumpkins, lol) so his roomate Wayne carved it. They both turned out really well, and i got some of those little battery operated tea lights that change colors so the pumpkins looked really neat. Aaron took a few pictures using some of his photo tricks, they turned out pretty well.

Tuesday Aaron and I went to the Riverpark in Anderson after he got off work. We went for a walk and did a little fishing in the pond. I didn't catch anything but Aaron caught a nice one, i'll post a picture of it. We stayed out until right after sunset, we got a few nice pictures of the cool fall evening. When we got back to his house we ate a yummy pot roast that I had put on in the morning, it turned out really good. I'm getting much better at cooking now that I actually have someone to cook for. Although I won't mention the Zucchini bread that I made, lol..........

I worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Yes I had to work halloween :( It wasn't too bad because my co-worker that I worked with is super funny and very entertaining so we had a fun night, but it was a busy one too! We didn't get any trauma's in my dept but it must just have been busy cause it was Halloween because we were on our feet all night long, I was so ready to go to sleep when I got home on Saturday morning.

Saturday night Aaron and I went to dinner with two other couples and then we went to one of the couples homes and played Family Fued and Catchphrase, it was really fun. I love playing games. And of course the girls beat the boys! lol :) On Sunday Aaron and I went back to the riverpark to do a little fishing. We were going to go out on Shasta but Aaron went out on Saturday and it was really windy and rainy and he thought it would be to yucky out for me on Sunday, so we just went to the local pond, it actually wasn't too bad of a day and we probably would have had better luck on the lake but it was fine, we had a relaxing day and watched some TV and hung out on the couch.

Not much else going on, I made my favorite dinner tonight. Meatballs, Mashed potatoes and Corn, I still mix it all together, just like I did when I was a kid, it just tastes better to me that way :) And I made a pumpkin cake today from scratch and it was actually edible :) I work the next 3 nights so i'm hoping it'll be a good week.

Well this week was a little different. Normally I try to work 3 nights in a row but this week I ended up working sun, thur and sat, ugh!

Sunday was okay (although that is the one day of the week I hate working!). Monday I got off work in the am and went to sleep until early afternoon, then was in the cleaning mood and went through Aaron's cupboards and tossed away boxed and can food from the 90's!!! Lol. He actually made dinner that night which was nice, nothing like bachelor food :)

Tuesday I headed down to Sacramento for a class on wednesday. It was okay but I don't care to hang out in strange places by myself and at my hotel there was some darn young mom screaming on her phone all night with her kid screaming right along with her... so much for getting any sleep....

On Wednesday I attended a Class on Life-Threatening Pediatric Emergency's, it was a great class and I learned a lot. The teacher is a Nurse practitioner that works at University of Illinois Childrens' Hospital in the Pediatric Intensive Care, so she had some pretty neat stories, not all of them good though... :( but some of them were amazing stories of survival. I try to attend as many educational opportunities as possible because things can go wrong so quickly with children that if the need arrised, I would hopefully know exactly what to do. I love my job and everyday that I work I learn something new.

So back to work thursday night, it was a pretty slow night, so that was a nice break. Got off work at 7:15am this morning and slept till 3pm today :) Like I said this week is kind of odd though, I don't work tonight but I do have to work tomorrow night so I'm debating whether I should just stay on the night schedule for tonight so I can sleep tomorrow and go back to work tomorrow night or just sleep like a normal person tonight and then sleep a lot tomorrow too..... ahhh, the joys of working nights :) It's not bad working nights right now because I don't have any children and I can sleep whenever I want but I don't have a clue as to how people with kids work nights, they must have a lot of help!
I'm thinking I'll probably hang out with Aaron for a few hours and then after he goes to bed early(he has a fishing tournament tomorrow) then i'll head back to my house and paint my bathroom till 5 or 6 in the morning :)

Like I said Aaron has a fishing tournament this weekend at Shasta, so I'm wishing him the best of luck, the bite has been really difficult lately because it's been sunny and warm forever now... if we just had some clouds and cooler weather the fish would bite better.... and he has a chance at winning a boat so i'm keeping my fingers crossed :)

Well i guess that's all for now..... i'll try and find some more pics to post as well.....

Well I have decided to try blogging..... Mostly for my family and friends that I don't get to talk to on a regular basis. I'm hoping to be able to keep everyone posted on what is going on in my life and post pictures for you all to see......My plan is to post at least once a week but we'll see how that goes, lol.

Just to get everyone up to date.....

Aaron and I have been dating for 7 months now, things are wonderful and I couldn't be happier :) For everyone who doesn't know Aaron.... He's 29, grew up in San Diego and Redding. He is a project engineer for Siemens, his specific job is designing water filtration systems for large cities. He is also really into bass fishing. He has several bass tournaments coming up here at Shasta. Aaron also fishes in the stren series western division for FLW. oh, and did I mention he's 6'7?

Work is going great right now, I've been at Mercy Medical Center in the Pediatric department for 14 months now and I love it. I also still drive to Chico about once a month and work at Enloe Medical Center, the patients I care for there consist of children and Adults. I just can't believe its already been almost 2 1/2 years since I graduated nursing school! I'm still hanging in there on nights. I work 6:45pm to 7:15am, 3 nights a week. I do like working nights but it does get old sometimes. However, there is no way I would be able to make it to work at 6:45 am.... lol. At least not anytime soon.....so i'll be working nights for awhile.

I've been in my house for 1 1/2 years now and I still love it. I have painted the bathroom downstairs and now I'm working on painting my bathroom upstairs, at the rate I'm going I may have my house painted in 10 years.... lol. I have all these visions about how I want to decorate every room but I just can't seem to find the time to get it all done. I will post pictures for those of you who don't live nearby.....

I just had my 26th birthday, I can't believe it! Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes. I had a great day. Aaron and I went to dinner with my good friend Autumn and her fiance at a nice restaurant in Redding. Aaron got me several presents (he's such a great boyfriend) including; earings, apron, electric blanket (probably my favorite, lol, I'm always cold!), scrapbooking software (I'm soooo excited to start using it!), a very cute cabela's hat and sweatshirt and a few others things. Then for the weekend, we went to Rolling Hills Casino about 45 miles away and had a great dinner at a steakhouse, then went to a Comedy show. We had the breakfast buffet in the morning which was awesome (breakfast is my favorite!) and then we went to the clay course and shot skeet ( i won a gift certificate in the spring for that so i've been wanting to use it). I only shot about 10-12 times because the shot gun was so heavy and had a good kick but I did get 4 or 5 of the clay discs. I had a great time though, and then right as we were about to finish it started pouring rain.... It was nice though, it seems like its been a looooooooonnnng time since it rained, I think June or something like that.

In other recent news.... One of my best friends, Autumn (we went to Nursing school together) asked me to be here Maid of Honor at her wedding next summer, so i'm very excited to be able to share that day with her.
Yesterday, Aaron, I and another couple went to see Frank Caliendo at the Redding Convention Center, for those of you who don't know him, he's a comedian. He mostly does impersonations, he pretty funny! He has a tv show on tbs called Franktv, starting another season next week I think.

So I hope this will be a good tool to keep everyone informed and keep in touch better with everyone. I feel like I am at a great place in my life right now and I couldn't be happier. I'm looking forward to fall/winter and I'm excited to see what this next year in my life brings.
